Hello, my name is Doryanne Rosa and I am a nurse at the CIUSSS MCQ. I am running for a position on the Youth Committee.

I know that you’ve never heard my name before and that’s because I became a FIQ member this year. (Thank you for the warm welcome into your big family.)

I am not new to union life. I became a delegate a few weeks after I got my practice permit six years ago and since then I have taken on several roles. I was a member of the local Youth Committee, a participating delegate at the Youth Network, Women’s Network and the socio-political action network at a previous organization. I am a go-getter by nature and have always been involved in social issues.

I think it’s excellent that the FIQ Executive Committee is letting the Youth Committee develop a sustainable development policy. It is a very exciting project and also a great demonstration of trust to delegate such an important part of the organization’s plan to the youth and I would be honoured to be a part of it.
