Hello fellow healthcare professionals,

I am a candidate who is driven by the pursuit of justice, respect, equality, motivated by challenges, and am asking for your support as I run for the position of licensed practical nurse on the Executive Committee at the upcoming convention.

Every day my concern grows for the difficulties healthcare professionals face in their work places, which in turn motivates me to put my twelve years of expertise and activism at your service. The continuous changes made to our institutions, budget cuts and absence of recognition of our full expertise, unfortunately, leads to sullenness and exasperation among our members. I would like to work closely with you to turn this situation around and offer and implement real solutions. My strong teamwork skills and creative problem-solving equip me with all the qualities needed to work with you.

The Labour Relations Sector is an extremely important part of our labour organization’s mission. The FIQ has always adapted to the many changes made to the health network by adjusting either its structure or how it offers services to its members. I am fascinated by our organization’s great capacity to listen to its members’ and union reps’ needs and deeply wish to do my part in the years to come by working closely with you, the teams, in order to meet your needs.

I am strongly motivated by the sector’s main priorities, which include defending members, local negotiations and implementing the gains in our last collective agreement. And don’t worry, challenges don’t scare me, they push me to work even harder.

By giving me your support, you’re placing your trust in someone who is available, transparent and committed to defending and representing the 75,000 healthcare professionals at the FIQ.
