Status of Women Committee
CISSS de la Montérégie-Centre (FIQ – Syndicat des professionnelles en soins de Montérégie-Centre)
Hello everyone,
For those of you who do not know me well, I have been a nurse for more than 24 years. In the course of my duties, I have worked in emergency, surgery and physical rehabilitation. I worked for 6 years, in 1999, in defending mental health rights. I was a consultant in different fields such as health and social services. During that time period, I also participated in parliamentary commissions, law review committees, a ministerial committee and the writing of a brief.
I was elected as the grievance and disability agent at the CISSS Montérégie Centre for my local FIQ union in June 2017. I am involved, dynamic and capable of multi-tasking. Defending rights, including women’s rights to equality, has always been a driving force for me. I feel there is still a lot of work to do to attain gender equality. I am convinced that I can make a major contribution to the Status of Women Committee.
