David Lambert
Occupational Health and Safety Committee
CIUSSS de l'Estrie - Centre Hosp. Univ. de Sherbrooke (FIQ – Syndicat des professionnelles en soins des Cantons-de-l’Est)
Let me introduce myself in order to seek another mandate on the FIQ OHS Committee. The last three years have gone by quickly and I am proud to have participated in all the committee’s work. I was fortunate to be able to add my personal touch to the preparation of the annual OHS Weeks and Networks project.
I am still just as passionate for everything related to occupational health and safety and I want to pursue the work in order to promote the OHS prevention component. I want to make this part that affects all the healthcare professionals in their work environment more known. Health and safety prevention is crucial!
I remember my first days of work in 2001. I went to the local union office on my third day to report a patient’s violent actions towards one of my colleagues. The local president at the time asked me to look after the OHS file on the union team. Since, I have always been proud to look after this file on my local team and with the members we represent.
I am a nurse at the CIUSSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS, at the Hôpital Brome-Missiquoi-Perkins and I have a university certificate in occupational health and safety.
I am asking for your support for another mandate on the OHS Committee.
Thank you.
