Respiratory therapist vice-president, Social Security, OHS, Human Resources (FIQ)
CHU de Québec (Syndicat interprofessionnel du CHU de Québec)
Dear colleagues,
It is with enthusiasm that I ask for your support as I run for the position of respiratory therapist vice-president on the FIQ’s Executive Committee for a second term.
When it comes to defending the interests of our members, my determination, availability and sense of duty motivate me to work with all of you.
This first term has given me the opportunity to use the knowledge and expertise I gained during my twelve years as a union rep to fulfil my political responsibilities. Furthermore, my knowledge of our big, beautiful organization’s internal operations gives me all of the necessary skills to take on the added responsibility of Human Resources that comes with the position.
As someone who has first-hand knowledge of what our members expect and need from this organization, I am committed to working to consolidate our services and develop new tools that will enable us to properly respond to cardiorespiratory healthcare professionals. The Network of OHS Union Representatives is a great example of a proactive method to gather ideas and develop union strategies to guarantee our members healthy workplaces and eliminate dangers. I am very proud to have helped set up this network as it will be able to support the OHS branch of our service offer.
I am also proud of the fact that our organization has adopted proposal-oriented unionism. I believe that we should continue to steer our collective efforts in this direction to represent our members in light of the many issues they face every day.
During this term, which is coming to a close, I have had the opportunity to meet you in various situations, to speak with the members you represent, and this time with you, the union reps, and the members, is very important to me. I sincerely hope that we will continue to have these opportunities to meet because they allow me to more concretely identify members’ needs and to organize ways to meet them.
My passion, energy and beliefs have not faded over the years and rest assured that I will do everything in my power to work with you.
Let’s take action together!
