Hello. My name is Michael Potvin and it is with great interest that I am submitting my candidacy for the FIQ Youth Committee. I have been a member of the executive of my union since 2014. I have attended different decision-making meetings of the FIQ many times and I have also actively participated in several Youth Networks since 2013. I am a person who can bring people together, am easy to approach, positive and I like teamwork.

I am committed to the fate of the FIQ youth in their professional and daily lives, and I also think that it is important to stimulate their interest through topics that concern them. I think it is important to get young people involved in the union movement and help them understand their union and its daily social battles in order to adequately prepare the next generation.

I like the rallying and unifying spirit that the FIQ has created for its union reps and I would like to help everyone find their place in a social responsibility movement.

This mandate would enable me to move the idea of proposal-based unionism forward.
