I am enthusiastically soliciting a third mandate from you for the position of treasurer for this magnificent organization that is the FIQ. I can assure you of my willingness to be fully involved and full of energy in all the files linked to this position: Treasury, Negotiations, Union Defence Fund, Information Technology-Documentation Service, Internal Services and Administrative Services.

The last few years have been the most rewarding for me since my involvement with the union twenty-two years ago. Being the Treasurer of the largest federation of healthcare professionals in Québec is a great honour and the responsibilities and challenges are very stimulating and exciting.

I am very grateful and proud to have served beside one of the greatest leaders in the history of the FIQ; a great leader in the entire Québec labour movement. My colleague, our president, Régine Laurent, who has led our federation with dedication and infinite faith in our members. She inspires me to remain focused on achieving the goals and motivates me to energetically and enthusiastically take on every day, regardless of the obstacles facing the Federation.

The attacks on the labour movement and the healthcare professionals’ working conditions push us to reinforce our solidarity, ties with the community and all the unions in the country and internationally to defend public services.

My capacity for analysis, my communication skills and my critical judgment are strengths bringing added value to the Executive Committee. I want to continue defending the interests of the 75,000 nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists of the Federation with you.

I will do everything in my power to continue to serve the FIQ with integrity, honesty, conviction and determination to maintain and enhance its excellent reputation.

I want to continue to be at the side of the union representatives, members of the Executive Committee, coordination and employees of the FIQ. I have been able to show you in the past, particularly over the last few years, that I am trustworthy. I am now asking for your support in giving me the opportunity to have another mandate as Treasurer.
