Hello,

My name is Shany St-Amand, Licensed Practical Nurse. My involvement in my institution’s (RLS Haute-Yamaska) Youth Committee began in April 2013. I was elected to the FIQ Youth Committee at the FIQ Convention in 2014. Then, in 2015, I was elected to the position of vice-president youth for my local union. I have been a member of the FIQ Evaluation of Publications Committee since 2016 and in June, 2017, I was elected to the position of licensed practical nurse vice-president for the Estrie region.

I have realized that I have evolved and surpassed myself with every one of my experiences over the 3 years of my mandate. I am a dynamic and dedicated young woman. The youth cause is very important to me. I would like to continue the committee’s work, participate in the creation of youth committees in the CISSSs/CIUSSSs and repeatedly encourage the youth to be involved. This is why I am submitting my candidacy for a second mandate on the FIQ Youth Committee.
