Time for change now at the bargaining table!
After more than a year of negotiations, it’s understandable that you’re anxious to finally reach a satisfactory agreement. Your Negotiating Committee is more determined than ever to obtain better salaries, a better workload for you and better work-personal-life balance.
On the specific issue of flexibility, the government stated publicly this week that it wants reassignments to be on a voluntary basis, as we are demanding. Your Negotiating Committee will therefore ensure that this statement is reflected in the employer party’s offers at the bargaining table.
Now that the Common Front and the FAE have officially concluded their new work contract, the government’s priority must be the negotiations with the FIQ. Remember that it is 80,000 healthcare professionals who are still waiting for a significant improvement in their working conditions to guarantee the quality of care for the population.
We invite you to come demonstrate in Quebec City on March 16 to remind the government that we are still in negotiations and that the healthcare professionals are entitled to a negotiated collective agreement which meets their expectations. There will be chartered buses from all over Québec to take you and your family to the event venue. For more information and to register: https://www.fiqsante.qc.ca/en/nego/16-march/.
