In her last blog, the FIQ president talked to us about the recent decision to entrust the responsibility of managing the SNPs to the OIIQ.

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Danielle McCann, stopped at the Hôpital Notre-Dame-de-Fatima de La Pocatière and visited the institution with Cindie Soucy, President of the SPSICR-BSL. They discussed the various realities in the hospital and the difficulties of the healthcare professionals at the hospital.

More than 200 union representatives attended the very first edition of the Organization of Work and Professional Practice Network on May 2 and 3. On the agenda were conferences, workshops and discussions under the theme, “Objective ratios: we are taking action!”.

We, at the FIQ and FIQP, want to thank you this Health Month for your tremendous dedication, sustained efforts and passion you have for your field.

After months of preparation to set up healthcare professional-to-patient ratios, the project completed a crucial step today when the implementation stage started.

The FIQ is satisfied with the meeting with the Minister of Health and Social Services and her commitments in the mandatory overtime (MOT) and ratios files.
