Amélie Perron: Disobedience or professional leadership? Working toward a viable negotiation of political identity
Amélie Perron is an associate professor at the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. She spoke to the union reps at the FIQ and FIQP Conventions. To Ms. Perron, disobedience is far from a deplorable act, rather it is a way of negotiating a more honest political identity that allows one to confront the perversity and violence underlying conformism.
Here is a short clip of her presentation. In the next few weeks, we will make Ms. Perron’s full conference available online.
