The FIQ has made the initial training file one of its priorities for several months. This file is complex and concerns all the personnel working in the health network, because, when all is said and done, it is them who have to deliver quality, safe care to the population.

In light of the fact that the Order and the government representatives have already taken the decision to upgrade the initial training of nurses, union representatives of the 62.000 healthcare professionnals, members of the FIQ, mandated their Federation to take all necessary means to delay the date the upgrade goes into effect; in order to ensure, that the members’ rights are protected and that their expertise and experience are recognized.
