Tentative agreement for a first collective agreement at Hôpital Sainte-Anne!
The United Health Care Professionals (FIQ) – UHCP which represents the new members affiliated to the FIQ at Hôpital Sainte-Anne Anciens Combattants (St. Anne’s Veterans Hospital) have just concluded their first collective agreement! It is a first victory and the first big mandate completed for the union, which has seen a lot of changes and the shortest history at the FIQ.
Transferred to the Québec Health and Social Services network on April 1, 2016, after many years of negotiations between the two levels of government, Hôpital Sainte-Anne was integrated into the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’île-de-Montréal. Still a stand-alone union, the members and their new FIQ union were able to negotiate their working conditions at the local level. It has been a year full of emotions for the members at the Ste. Anne’s Hospital with the departure of colleagues at the time of the transfer, the reorganization of several units and the standardization of practices. On April 21, 2017, one year after their first FIQ union certification, the members joined the new FIQ-SPSS du CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’île-de-Montréal union and began a new round of local negotiations.
Our congratulations to the local negotiating committee, the executive committee and to all the members at Ste. Anne’s Hospital and especially, continued success at the FIQ!
