The APTS-MUHC, the CSN-MUHCEU and the SPSICR of the MUHC-FIQ sent a letter stating their demand to the Health Minister
Montreal, August 3, 2017 – The unions representing the MUHC employees (Union of Nursing and Cardio-Respiratory Professionals (SPSICR) of the MUHC – FIQ, the McGill University Health Center Employees Union (CSN) and the Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé (APTS)), announced that they sent a letter stating their demand by email to Health Minister Gaétan Barrette.
As agreed at their meeting on July 13, 2017, with Mr. Barrette, the three unions’ spokespeople put their demand in writing regarding acquiring seats on the MUHC’s Board of Directors. They demanded “three permanent seats among the ten vacant on the institution’s Board of Directors.” In other words, one seat per labour organization involved.
The Health Minister said he would look into it, so the ball is now in his court. The spokespeople for the MUHC’s workers now await Mr. Barrette’s reply, which they hope will be quick.
