A motion to pay tribute to Régine Laurent’s work as she heads into retirement
The members of the National Assembly voted unanimously in favour of a motion to highlight the work and engagement of Régine Laurent.
That the National Assembly recognize the exceptional career of Régine Laurent, outgoing president of the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec – FIQ;
That it pay tribute to the combat she’s been leading for over 30 years in union activism to improve the working conditions of nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists.
That it highlight her unfailing commitment to our public health and social services network throughout her more than eight years as the FIQ president;
Lastly, that it fully recognize Régine Laurent’s contribution to the advancement of equality for women, people from culturally diverse communities and workers in our society.
