An international health network meeting underway in Lévis
The Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec – FIQ is proud to host an international meeting to debate and promote nurses’ rights throughout the world. Today, representatives from fourteen countries will discuss approaches to collective negotiation, workplace violence and safe care, as well as the impact of trade agreements on the health network.
“We are very happy to be able to offer the Global Nurses United (GNU) delegates a platform to discuss crucial issues that also concern Quebec healthcare professionals,” said Nancy Bédard, president-elect of the FIQ.
The representatives from abroad are available for interviews.
About GNU
GNU was started in 2013 by union associations, such as the FIQ, and focuses on issues that affect healthcare professionals around the world. Its vision for the world is one planet, one people, expressing the need to offer equal care to everyone. From the start, the FIQ felt it was important to be part of it to forge new alliances and build solidarity with organizations that face similar situations, but in different contexts.
