Internship in Nicaragua: union reps receive prep training
Once again, in 2018, FIQ union reps will participate in an awareness-raising internship to introduce them to international solidarity in Nicaragua. They will have the opportunity to meet health care workers and representatives from women’s groups, to speak with experts on Nicaraguan history and social and union movement struggles, to visit a health centre, a sugarcane field, and much more. These activities will deepen their knowledge of the issues between countries in the North and South and allow them to develop ties of solidarity with the Nicaraguan community.
On February 26 and 27, the interns were called to a pre-trip training to kick off the solidarity internship. The internship will run from April 8 to 19, 2018.
