On October 30, the FIQ officially opened its 7th office in Montérégie. With over 10,000 members in the region, the organization felt it was important to be active and present in the region to support its members and union reps.

It’s a sign of the FIQ’s growth, crucial position on Quebec’s union spectrum and its increasing bargaining power within the health network.

On the evening of the opening, a conference room was named to honour the memory of Nathalie Frenette, a FIQ member, union rep and union consultant

who left us in 2016. A commemorative plaque was hung in the presence of her family members.
