Today, the representatives of the FIQ signed the 2021-2023 collective agreement, along with the government representatives, in Quebec City. This collective agreement, based on the principle of stability of work teams, will go into effect on October 10, 2021.

After an agreement on working conditions in December 2020, the global tentative agreement was adopted by the delegates on June 15, 2021 and ratified by the FIQ and FIQP members in a referendum last August. An accelerated process of writing the texts and the new work contract going into effect then began so the healthcare professionals can benefit from the gains obtained as soon as possible.

The signature of the collective agreement marks the beginning of the healthcare professionals’ receiving the recognition premium.

The retroactivity will be paid by January 3, 2022.
