In the night of September 8 to 9, 2023, a tragedy hit Morocco, south of Marrakesh. The devastating 6.8 magnitude quake shook the region, leaving a high death toll in its wake: nearly 3,000 people died and more than 2,500 others were seriously injured. 

Faced with this catastrophe, the Fédération interprofessionnelle de la santé du Québec would like to express its solidarity with the Moroccan people and the victims of this devastating earthquake. Our heart is also with healthcare professionals and rescue teams who are working relentlessly to save lives. 

FIQ members who would like to support quake victims can make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross.
