We are pleased to announce the victory of the FIQ affiliated Syndicat des professionnelles en soins de Québec (SPSQ) in a vote of allegiance that was held after the merger of the CHSLD Jardins du Haut-Saint-Laurent and the CHSLD Côté-Jardins Inc. Category 1 healthcare professionals expressed their point of view in a vote on August 28 to September 22, 2023. With a high participation rate of 86%, healthcare professionals stated that they want to join their voice with the other 80,000 healthcare professionals we represent!

80.5% voted to support the big FIQ family, the only union 100% dedicated to healthcare professionals! This means that 84 nurses and licensed practical nurses are joining their voice with ours.

It is always a pleasure to see that healthcare professionals in the field recognize our expertise in defending their rights and that they are proud to join our other 80,000 members. There’s no one better than healthcare professionals to represent the voice of other professionals in the highest decision-making bodies!
